Family owned and operated. Click your way to Mustang performance parts, accessories and project ideas. We offer no nonsense, researched information suitable for both the V6+GT Mustang enthusiast. We started this site to help further promote the Ford 3.8/3.9/4.0L V6 Mustang, share information with those of you that may be new to the world of performance and handling upgrades, provide shop tips, performance planning guides, links to other V6 Mustang sites (there's a lot of great people doing great things to promote the V6 Mustang), plus we have hints and tips for product installations that we have completed on our 1997 Lazer Red & Lazer Red 2000 "Stangs" as well as feedback from our customers and visitors on their mods & upgrades. Our 1997 3.8L V6 'Lazer Red' is an example of what you can do with a totally stock daily driver and grocery getter. Trak-Lok 7.5" rear end, SCT X2 flash tuner, suspension upgrades, tire and wheel upgrades plus numerous engine performance mods made this Stang a fan favorite at events around Texas. It's hard to believe that this ride has over 138,000 miles on the odometer.
Our product base is growing with even more 1994-2008 Mustang parts & accessories in addition to expanding our website content. Bookmark us in your browser and come back and see us! Website updated weekly; when we are not having too much fun driving the Mustangs!

This is Lazer Red 2000; the latest addition to the CHiP’S V6 Mustang Corral. Sadly Lazer Red (1997 version) was totaled by me in a wild 360 degree high-speed spin out. Happily the spirit of Lazer Red lives on in other Mustangs across the nation as an organ donor! Stay tuned as we continue to salvage parts for Lazer Red 2000. In this photo you can see the repaired 2003 Cobra rims and new fat tires (I flat spotted the other set). See the Performance Mods page for more detailed information on the current and future performance upgrades. Photo taken in front of the Vintage Flying Museum hangar and home of the Veterans Memorial Air Park(VMAP) located at Meacham Filed near my home of Fort Worth, Texas. I am a member and volunteer at VMAP where I can be found on Saturday mornings helping with aircraft restoration and upkeep. You can just see the tail of our F-4 Phantom II in the background.
Linda and I are pleased to announce that CHiP’S V6 Specialties.com will be providing sponsorship for Tyler James and his 2004 3.9L V6 Mustang for the 2008 show year. His Stang currently is equipped with dual exhaust, custom H-pipe, FLOWMASTER 40s, and 3.5" stainless rolled tips! As Tyler says "It sounds awesome!" Tyler lives in Southern California and will be competing in several car shows and cruises, we wish him luck as he begins his journey! We will be reporting his progress through the year right here!
Check out these photos from Tyler's first cruise of the year. It was a little rainy on January 27Th, 2008 but that did not stop these intrepid Stanger's. The group traveled from Rubys pier in Newport Beach to Laguna Beach where these shots were taken at the marina parking area. Tyler's next trip will be a cruise up Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) to visit Laguna Beach a second time. I've made the trip up PCH myself and on a clear, sunny day, the view of the hills and Pacific Ocean is absolutely stunning! The trip is planned for February 23Rd, 2008 and you can find out more by following his thread at 3.8 Mustang, just look for his user name "tjames". The 23Rd Annual "Fabulous Fords Forever!" car show at Knott's Berry Farm on April 20Th, 2008 was his first big show and competition. Find out more about this event at Ford Car Clubs Western Region. Association (NASA) High Performance Driving Event Group 3 (HPDE3) session. He also runs at the Carolina Motorsport Park. I am also a member of NASA and highly recommend that you check out their website (NASA Pro Racing.com) from our links page.
The 2008 NASCAR season has begun and we are seven weeks into it. Carl Edwards wins at Texas Motor Speedway, my home track here in Fort Worth. I have a buddy of mine who runs in the Super Modified series at the World Of Outlaws dirt track outside the big speedway. Enough about me, Roush-Fenway Racing is looking to be the COT (Car of Today) powerhouse this year in the Sprint Cup series. I hope so, I'm real tired of seeing Hendrick Motorsports taking everything in sight. Of course, Hendrick has not been the 900 pound gorilla that they were in the last four seasons. Could it be that the factory Ford support that the Blue Oval teams are getting this year is paying off... Hmmmmmmm? By the way, the second tier NASCAR series started out as the Grand National Series and always will be so in my heart. I'm tired of all the series sponsorship name changes. Okay no more ranting from me. |
